than的用法举例
1.跟从句（带有主语和谓语或部分谓语）Are you prepared to work harder than you have been doing ?
They produced 53 per cent more steel in 1925 than they did in 1914.
At this time she was happier than she had ever been.
I glanced at my watch. It was earlier tahn I thought.
2. 跟一个充当状语从句的词或词组（如副词,介词短语或从句）
They arrived earlier than usual.
They work better together than if they are alone.
3.跟其他成分（如不定式，形容词，动词等）
It is easier to do it yourself than (to) explain it to her.
I cannot do better than get away for the few days.
She was not more surprised than angry.
